đź”” Enable Push Notifications by Browser
Follow the steps below to turn on website notifications in your preferred browser.
Google Chrome (Desktop)
- Open Chrome.
- Go to the website you want to enable notifications for.
- Click the lock icon đź”’ next to the address bar.
- Select Site settings.
- Find Notifications → choose Allow.
- Close the settings tab. Notifications are now enabled.
Alternate method
- Open Settings in Chrome.
- Navigate to Privacy and security → Site settings → Notifications.
- Find your site under “Not allowed to send notifications” and change to Allow.
Mozilla Firefox (Desktop)
- Open Firefox.
- Visit the website you want notifications from.
- Click the lock icon next to the address bar.
- Click the arrow → select More Information.
- Go to the Permissions tab.
- Find Send Notifications → check Allow.
Alternate method
- Type
about:preferences#privacy in the address bar.
- Scroll to Permissions → click Settings… next to Notifications.
- Find your site → set to Allow.
Microsoft Edge (Desktop)
- Open Edge.
- Go to the desired website.
- Click the lock icon next to the URL.
- Select Permissions for this site.
- Find Notifications → set to Allow.
Alternate method
- Open Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Notifications.
- Ensure Ask before sending (recommended) is on.
- Under “Allow,” click Add and enter your website URL.
Safari (macOS)
- Open Safari.
- Go to Safari → Settings (or Preferences) → Websites tab.
- Select Notifications from the sidebar.
- Find the website → set to Allow.
If prompted on the site: When Safari asks to allow notifications, choose Allow.
Google Chrome (Android)
- Open Chrome on your phone.
- Go to the website.
- When prompted, tap Allow. If you missed the prompt, tap the lock icon next to the URL.
- Tap Permissions → Notifications → Allow.
Alternate method
- Open Chrome menu (⋮) → Settings → Site settings → Notifications.
- Turn Notifications on and ensure your site isn’t blocked.
Safari (iPhone / iPad — iOS 16.4+)
- Open the website in Safari.
- When prompted, tap Allow to enable notifications.
- Optional: Confirm in Settings → Notifications → Safari that notifications are allowed.
Note: Web push on iOS/iPadOS requires iOS/iPadOS 16.4 or later.
Opera (Desktop)
- Open Opera.
- Visit the website you want to receive notifications from.
- Click the lock icon in the address bar.
- Choose Site settings.
- Under Notifications, select Allow.
