Most boardrooms require a large conference table that provides plenty of room for executives and guests alike. The conference table shouldn’t be just big but exceptionally stylish as well. After all, the board room is more than just a meeting area. It is where decisions are made, the most important decisions for the business. It’s where meetings with VIP’s and business partners that help grow the brand come together to further the success of the company. Therefore, only the best office furniture should be placed within for the appearance of a business.

That is why I am writing this guide. To help anyone who needs a top-quality conference table for their boardroom. Because it really is important to set the tone for the meeting area so that it is both comfortable for everyone in both appearance and functionality. With this in mind we will cover all the shapes of the conference tables for the boardroom as well as give some examples to get you started in your search.

The examples that will be provided below are not a comprehensive list of all the conference room tables that you can find for there are thousands of designs available today but rather a starting point into the search. Before we begin, I would like to preface up front that the Madison Liquidators staff is on hand to help you through the entirety of the process. At any point in your search should you have questions that need answered, then feel free to reach out to our knowledgeable staff at (888) 831-1012. Our staff looks forward to the chance to get to serve you.

Square Tables

Square tables are small and wouldn’t necessarily be the first shape that you would think of for the board room; however, they can be modular. Modular square tables can be used to create a long conference table to meet any length. Tables can be attached on the under-side using flat bracket plates or set free-standing in the board room. In this manner, square tables can be purchased together and be placed in any arrangement that the space allows. Below is a single square conference table for reference.

Boat Shaped Tables

Boat shaped tables are the number one choice for use in a boardroom. These are wider in the center and taper off at the edges so board members can see each other in meets. The shape gets its name from how it has the profile of an old-time small boat known as a dingy. They are perfect for a large boardroom as their shape is a natural fit for the office space.

The following is two of our most popular models for examples.

Modular Training Tables

Modular training tables are perfect for a boardroom that needs to be flexible. Much like square conference tables, these modular ones can be placed together to form any shape within the conference room space that’s needed. What usually sets these apart from the square tables is twofold. First, they usually have wheels for easy movement around the office. The wheels of the training tables can be locked in place and flat brackets can be used to connect them on the underside of the table-top if required. Secondly, they typically fold and “nest” together for easy storage when not in use, freeing up much needed square footage around the office. Below is a great example of a single modular training table.

Racetrack tables

Racetrack conference tables are also very popular options for the boardroom. These conference tables are a twist on a rectangular table by rounding the corners on the short ends.
