A credenza normally measures around 6 FT long, 24 inches deep and 30 inches high. This can be a full storage unit with an optional hutch attached above or can be as simple as a plain desk shell that would offer more work space on an L or U shaped desk. Credenzas can include up to 4 lateral filing drawers, numerous two or three drawer pedestal drawers or even doors that open with shelves for easy storage. In most cases a credenza is used to provide storage space as well as to add additional work space.
