A workstation desk is a contemporary office furniture piece found in offices around the world. A workstation desk provides a dedicated place for an employee to perform their job. What's special about office workstations and workstations desks is that multiple people can be grouped together in a single space. Call centers, telemarketing agencies and offices with open spaces that need to create privacy can use workstations to provide workspaces for a large number of employees.

Office workstations come in a number of different varieties. Two-person workstations, four-person workstations, six-person workstations and eight-person workstations are the most common. The shape of workstations vary as well as some are setup as linear, in order to fit comfortably against a wall, or workstations that have workstations desks on either side, face-to-face, allowing for a larger number of people in the same area.

The type of workstation needed depends on your needs. A two-person workstation is perfect for a shared home office, whereas a six-person linear workstation would help maximize the space a company has. Privacy varies greatly as well with most including privacy panels. But cubicle workstations where each employee has high, sound absorbent cubicle wall panels are another variety, when privacy and noise reduction are absolutely essential.
