A Guide to Finding the Right Office Furniture for your Office

Finding the right office furniture for your office can be a chore on your own. Luckily, our customer service team at Madison Liquidators is here to help. We have compiled this guide to answer some of the most frequent questions about purchasing office furniture. This should be viewed as a first major step into the pool of finding office furniture. Careful though, the pool can get pretty deep. At any point during your search that you feel that you need to speed up the process and have your personal questions, our dedicated sales team is here to help. Our team has many years of dedicated customer focused support. Our team is standing by to answer all your questions and help you with the overall search and purchase of quality office furniture. Give us a call at (888) 831-1012 to get started. A few tips before we get started with individual office furniture pieces, here are a few things to consider. When purchasing new office furniture for your entire office it is important to maintain a single style and color palette. The easiest way to manage this is to look at a single manufacturer and if possible, the same office furniture series from said manufacturer. For example, if all the desks are “Newport Gray” then the accent pieces such as storage cabinets, bookcases, and side tables can be purchased with the exact same finish by following the manufacturer series rule. Front Office A reception desk will be the first major piece of office furniture that customers, clients, and visitors will see when entering your business. It must be professional looking and a strong focal point to the reception area. It should draw in the eyes of those who come through your doors. A highly functional workstation that is attractive to establish a desirable first impression to the inner areas of your office. By the time the guests pass this furniture, they will have an educated understanding of the style of the rest of the office. Another important aspect of the front office is the seating for the waiting room. This is not a place to haphazardly throw random chairs into the area but rather it’s for quality office furniture that is designed for such a space. It is just as important as the reception desk to have a stylish and comfortable seat for the guests while they wait. Once these two aspects of the front office are met, the rest of the office can follow. It cannot be stated enough that the front office area sets the tone for the rest of the office. Executive office furniture is designed to be larger with more attention to style. For example, an attractive executive U shaped desk will fill out the space of the management office well. The U shaped desk is already a large piece of office furniture with its three sided design but with the executive version the workspace is even larger with a level of artisanship not found in shared office furniture. As with the rest of the furniture in executive and management offices, think of high end pieces. Look for premium materials such as steel, leather, and frosted glass. All of which draw in the eye for an opulent focal point which is the desired result of furnishing the big office. Executive office furniture makes bold statements for the executive. Shared Offices Shared offices usually require space saving options. Not necessarily extreme measures, but we have found that the L shaped desk is the most highly sought after desk for a shared office. An L shaped desk offers double the desktop space of a traditional rectangular desk. They are highly versatile office furniture and exceedingly popular amongst office workers for their versatility and natural ability to multitask with double the worksurface. Other options are pedestal desks, and rectangular desks but a type of desk that is on the rise is a peninsula desk. With a peninsula desk, there’s also double the workspace compared to traditional desks. They are more open and lean towards an open office concept with their minimalist design. There are great options for these workstations such as bookcases, and hutches. They allow for movement throughout the workday that limits the aches and pains that come with office work. A sit stand desk is one of the strongest combatants to a sedentary lifestyle in the office. With the push of a button, the desktop moves between two preset heights to transition between a sitting and standing position. It’s a modern piece of office furniture for the modern business. These office furniture systems have been trusted for decades for offices that require multiple workstations with limited space. A cubicle provides enough space for an office worker to perform their daily duties. Cubicles are versatile due to their modular design that allows for a custom design for each set as needed. Built in pods of from two up to eight, they allow for workgroups to work next to one another to complete projects. They are a new alternative to cubicle systems that opens the office instead of partitioning it off. It makes for a more inviting office with the openness that it provides. <"> Additional Open Office Workstation Resources L shaped desk pod ideas https://madisonliquidators.com/blog/creating-two-or-four-person-workstation-pods-with-l-shaped-desks/ Desk pod ideas https://madisonliquidators.com/blog/desk-pod/ Workstation ideas for a collaborative office https://madisonliquidators.com/blog/nine-workstations-for-a-collaborative-office/ Wall Partitions/ Sound Barriers Of course, when it comes to an open office environment, some office division will be needed. Wall partitions and sound barriers can be placed strategically to help eliminate noise pollution. The drawback of an open office environment is that sounds travel throughout the workspace. Wall partitions allow for groups of office workers to work closely without their noise carrying throughout the entire office. <"> Additional Wall Partition Resources Previously shared in the cubicle section, this also covers wall partitions https://madisonliquidators.com/blog/8-cubicle-wall-ideas-for-the-workplace/ Conference Tables A conference table is the centerpiece of the conference room. Selecting the right office furniture for the conference room is especially important due to it being where most of the guests, vendors, and visitors will spend time. So, finding a conference table that’s the right size, shape, and style of the office is an essential task. Shapes of conference tables vary greatly from each other. Each shape presents different strengths and weaknesses. One may be perfect for your office but a horrible choice for another. The principle shapes are round, square, rectangular, boat shaped, and racetrack. <"> Round, square, and rectangular are self-explanatory, but the other two are unique shapes that need further explanation. A boat shaped conference table takes a rectangular shape then bows out the long sides in a flare to create a luxurious appearance; looking down, the profile of the table looks like an old dingy. The racetrack conference table is the exact opposite. The long sides are straight while the corners are rounded like an oval, creating a shape that looks a lot like an old time racetrack. Both these designs are prevalent in an executive board room due to their upscale appeal. No matter the shape, be sure to select the office furniture that fits your conference room style. <"> Additional Conference Room Office Furniture Resources A conference table sizing chart that provides a technical explanation to conference tables https://www.madisonliquidators.com/blog/conference-tables-and-size-chart/ A guide to upgrading a conference room for a growing small office https://www.madisonliquidators.com/blog/upgrading-the-conference-room-in-a-growing-small-office/ A guide to adding power to the conference table https://www.madisonliquidators.com/blog/adding-power-outlets-to-a-conference-table/ A guide for selecting the right conference table https://www.madisonliquidators.com/blog/selecting-the-right-conference-table/ Office Chairs One of the most crucial things that cannot be be overlooked when you’re finding the right office furniture for your office is office seating. Straight away finding comfortable and functional desk chairs is vital for all the office workers in your office. When selecting a desk chair, it is important not to try to cut corners and purchase conference room chairs. A desk chair is fully adjustable to nestle the office worker into a comfortable position for all day use. While a conference room chair usually features fixed arms and limited adjustment because they are intended for periodic use, not all day. The limited adjustability is also to limit the distractions that come with adjusting chairs throughout the meetings. Also, guest chairs are not adjustable, and typically aren’t mobile with casters like desk chairs and are also designed for periodic use so placing them in the role of a desk chair will not be a realistic expectation. They are best served in offices in front of the desk for visitors to use as needed. A guest chair is comfortably placed in an executive office for a small meeting area at the desk. This is one area that if overlooked will become a problem very quickly. For miscellaneous items there are storage cabinets. They come in many shapes, sizes, and styles, so finding the storage cabinet works best for your office is a key component of a clean and organized office. A wide varierty of office storage from credenzas to standing wardrobe closets are available for purchase as organizational office furniture. Filing cabinets and bookcases are other storage items that can assist in keeping the office organized. Filing cabinets have been trusted for decades, whether it’s  a vertical or horizontal filing system most offices will benefit from having plenty of them on hand. The same can be said about bookcases. They have many sizes and shapes available and having them in the office will do wonders for the office. <"> Additional Storage Office Furniture Resources Storage solutions for the office https://madisonliquidators.com/blog/storage-furniture-must-haves-for-every-office/ A closer look at storage cabinets https://madisonliquidators.com/blog/stay-organized-with-adequate-office-storage-cabinet-space/ Assistance in your search for Office Furniture Furnishing an office is no small task. How to Choose the Right Office Desk: A Comprehensive Buyer’s Guide

Finding the right office desk is more than just picking a surface to work on—it’s about enhancing productivity, comfort, and style while meeting storage and spatial needs. Whether you’re designing a home office or furnishing a corporate space, this guide will walk you through the main types of office desks and their variations, helping you make the best choice for your workspace. This is one of the questions I get asked the most, what type of desk should I get? That is a loaded question! Because there are many factors that go into selecting the perfect office desk for your needs, for example- If you handle multiple projects throughout the day and need to keep them separated, then I would say either an L-shaped desk or a U-shaped desk is perfect BUT both of these are office desk designs that take up a lot of square footage and if your office space is limited, then they may not be a viable choice for you. Compromises would have to be made. Let’s look at some of the most popular office desk types. --product-display-box--   Rectangular/Pedestal Desk The standard office desk! Available as a rectangular desk or pedestal desk, they function the same. Some may say basic but I prefer utilitarian, because if it’s not broke- don’t fix it. A rectangular shape that allows the user to sit comfortably in the middle and use the desktop evenly on either side. Throw in a set of drawers on one of the pedestals (or both) and boom- complete workstation that any office worker can utilize. Let’s get into some specifics of the pedestal desk. Rectangular/Pedestal Desk Overview Pedestal desks are a timeless staple in both traditional and contemporary office settings. They typically feature a flat desktop with one or two supporting pedestal bases, which contain built-in drawers for storage. Variations Single Pedestal Desk: Has one set of drawers, ideal for compact spaces. Double Pedestal Desk: Includes two drawer pedestals, offering increased storage. Executive Pedestal Desk: Often larger and more decorative, suitable for managerial or executive offices. Pedestal Desks with File Drawers: Equipped with larger drawers for letter or legal-size files. Best For Anyone working in an office environment Professionals needing storage Executive offices Traditional office aesthetics L-Shaped Desk We move on to my personal favorite, the L-shaped desk. I have worked from six different L-shaped desks throughout my career and I will always champion them as the ultimate office desk design. Just look at them, double the desktop work area of the pedestal desk yet, take up roughly the same square footage, maybe a little more. Perfect for anyone who works on more than one project throughout the day and needs to keep them separate or how I like to use them- computer, keyboard and monitor on one side, while using the return for drawings, and writing duties. Let’s take a deeper look at the L-shaped desk. L-Shaped Desk Overview L-shaped desks are excellent office desks that offer ample workspace by forming a right angle, making them perfect for multitaskers or corner placement. Double the desktop work space of a traditional pedestal desk. Variations L-Shaped Desk with Drawers: Integrated pedestal drawers provide essential storage for documents and supplies. L-Shaped Desk with Hutch: Adds overhead shelving for storing books, binders, or personal items. L-Shaped Desk with Storage Cabinets: Adds closed-door storage for keeping office clutter out of sight. Reversible L-Shaped Desks: Let you assemble the return (side portion) on either the left or right, adapting to room layout. Best For Corner spaces Dual-monitor setups Professionals balancing administrative and computer work U-Shaped Desk Moving on to the largest office desk shape, the U-shaped desk. As much as I champion an L-shaped desk, the U-shaped desk is basically the big brother of it. The big brother who has been sneaking HGH (human growth hormones) treatments for years. Instead of having two work surfaces, it has three- main desk, bridge on one side of the worker and a credenza style desk directly behind the user. This set up is perfect for anyone who has the office space and multitasks constantly, or for someone who does very little but wants to appear to be important in the office (no judgment.) Here are some details about U-shaped desks. U-Shaped Desk Overview U-shaped desks deliver the most workspace, with three connected surfaces forming a “U.” They’re excellent for executives, receptionists, or anyone who needs to stay highly organized. They consume a lot of square footage in the office space; it is important to consider this before making a purchase. Variations U-Shaped Desk with Hutch: Offers upper-level storage and privacy. U-Shaped Desk with Wardrobe Closet: An extra large variation of the U-shaped desk that has a closet attached for personal items such as a jacket. U-Shaped Desk with Credenza: Combines a desk, bridge, and rear credenza for extensive storage and work surface. Best For Executives and managers High-volume work environments Spacious office layouts Bow Front Desk I like to call the bow front desk the office desk/conference table hybrid because of the intent of the design. A bow front desk is excellent for anyone who hosts guests in their workspace. In corporate offices where the conference room and the board rooms are often booked, the bow front desk provides an alternative meeting space for a small number of guests. The bow front acts as a de facto conference table between user and guests creating an intimate meeting space within the confines of the office. Bow Front Desk Overview A bow front desk features a curved front edge, providing a more inviting look for face-to-face interactions. This makes them ideal for reception areas or executive offices that host clients or colleagues. Variations Bow Front Desk with Return: Adds side workspace, sometimes as part of an L- or U-shaped configuration. Bow Front Desk with Drawers: Includes integrated storage solutions. Reception Bow Front Desks: Designed specifically for receptionist use, often paired with privacy panels or transaction counters. Best For Executives who host visitors Reception areas Offices seeking a modern, professional appearance Sit-Stand Desk Let’s take a close look at the most modern design of office desks, the sit stand desk. Made for the modern office worker who needs to find creative ways to get out of a desk chair throughout the work day. I am very keen on making sure that everyone knows this is a fantastic option to help alleviate aches and pains that come with office work. The sit-stand desk is one of the greatest weapons for an office worker to battle the sedentary lifestyle that is inherent with the profession. Sit-Stand Desk Overview A sit-stand desk also known as a height-adjustable desk, is a modern take on the office desk that allows users to switch between sitting and standing positions throughout the workday. This flexibility promotes ergonomic health, improves posture, and can help reduce fatigue during long hours at a workstation. Variations Electric Sit-Stand Desk: Powered by motors, these desks allow seamless height adjustment with the push of a button. Many include programmable presets for quick transitions. Manual Sit-Stand Desk: Adjusted by a hand crank or pneumatic lift. These are typically more affordable but require physical effort to operate. L-Shaped Sit-Stand Desk: Combines the benefits of sit-stand functionality with expanded workspace. Often used in executive or home office setups. Desktop Converter: Sits on top of a traditional desk, providing standing capabilities without replacing the existing furniture. Best For Employees focused on ergonomic wellness Hybrid office setups and hot desking environments Home office users looking to stay active while working Companies promoting health-conscious workplace cultures Computer Desk There is a noticeable change from the previous entries to this type. This is where compromises get difficult. A computer desk is designed with enough space for the computer to sit on and the user to comfortably work, but not much else. The computer desk is often chosen when there isn’t any square footage available and hard decisions have to be made. Such as in a home office where there is no dedicated office space. They are also perfect for the student at home or in a dorm room. Computer Desk Overview Computer desks are purpose-built for digital work. They often include features like cable grommets, keyboard trays, and monitor shelves. Best for workers who performs the majority of their office desk work on a computer/laptop. Variations Compact Computer Desk: Great for small offices or home use. Computer Desk with Keyboard Tray: Provides ergonomic typing posture. Computer Desk with Storage: Includes shelves or cabinets for tech accessories. Mobile Computer Desk: Often on casters, suitable for flexible office setups. Best For Home offices Tech-centric roles Students and telecommuters Key Considerations When Choosing Your Office Desk When choosing the perfect office desk for your needs, there are several factors that play a part in deciding the outcome. Below I will highlight the primary factors to consider, but want to stress that sometimes, compromises will need to be made if one or more of them cannot be met properly. This balance is a constant struggle with many who work from an office desk. Let’s dive in. Space & Layout Measure your available space and consider traffic flow. An L- or U-shaped desk might be too large for small rooms but ideal in open layouts. Storage Needs Evaluate how much you need to store. Pedestal and U-shaped desks often provide ample storage, while minimalist computer desks do not. Functionality Consider your daily tasks. Will you be writing, typing, meeting with clients, or multitasking with multiple monitors? Style & Material Office desks come in a range of finishes, from wood veneer and laminate to metal and glass. Choose a style that matches your décor and durability needs. Ergonomics Ensure the desk height, keyboard placement, and monitor position support healthy posture and productivity. Understanding Office Desk Costs: Key Factors That Influence Price When shopping for the right office desk, price is naturally one of the most influential factors. While it's easy to compare prices at face value, it's crucial to understand what actually drives the cost of an office desk. Here’s a breakdown of the major components that impact desk pricing so you can make an informed investment: Materials: Engineered vs. Premium Options The material used in constructing a desk significantly affects its price. Entry-level desks often found in retail stores use materials like particle board with laminate finishes, which are cost-effective but may lack durability over time. In contrast, higher-end options may feature solid hardwood, real wood veneer, or heavy-duty steel frames, which increase longevity but can heavily increase cost. Mid-range desks might incorporate thermally fused laminate (TFL) or high-pressure laminate (HPL) surfaces. These materials balance affordability with durability, making them popular in professional office environments. Don't overlook metal components either—powder-coated steel or aluminum hardware contributes both to aesthetics and pricing. Office Desk Size: Bigger Isn’t Always Better—But It Is Pricier Larger office desks naturally require more raw material, which drives up both production and shipping costs. Executive desks, L-shaped desks, and U-shaped configurations tend to be larger and therefore more expensive than standard rectangular desks. Additionally, consider how height adjustability or modular add-ons (like return shells, hutches, or credenzas) contribute to size—and subsequently, cost. Even within similar styles, a few inches can mean a notable difference in price. Office Desk Shape: Complexity Comes at a Premium The shape of your desk isn’t just about aesthetics or space efficiency- it’s also tied directly to the cost. A basic rectangular desk is generally the most budget-friendly. More complex shapes like L-desks, U-desks, corner desks, or curved reception desks often require additional components and engineering, making them pricier to manufacture and ship. Moreover, custom desk layouts or configurations that accommodate specialized workflows or team setups may come at an additional premium due to their bespoke nature. Shipping and Freight Costs One of the most overlooked contributors to office desk pricing is shipping. Desks are large, heavy items that may require freight shipping, especially for commercial-grade models. Factors like destination (residential vs. commercial delivery), assembly requirements, and white-glove delivery services can all add to the final invoice. Some companies offer “free shipping,” but this is often built into the product price. Others provide bulk discounts or shipping incentives for orders exceeding a certain quantity or price threshold. Brand and Manufacturing Origin Brand reputation and country of origin also influence cost. U.S.-made desks, especially those from recognized commercial office furniture manufacturers, may come at a premium but offer stronger warranties, better quality control, and shorter lead times. Internationally manufactured desks might be more cost-effective but could vary in quality and have longer delivery windows. Additionally, some brands are known for their quality and have a reputation as being a premium brand, so the name itself could increase the price. On the other hand, there are brands designed for the consumer who is on a budget and create high quality office desks designed for such a consumer. Functionality and Features Office desks with integrated cable management, adjustable height mechanisms, built-in drawers or filing cabinets, or modular components command higher prices. Sit-stand desks, in particular, can range from a few hundred dollars to well over a thousand, depending on the motor type, memory presets, and materials used. Additionally, desks designed for specific industries—like reception desks, conference tables, or benching workstations—may include industry-specific features that impact the price point. Assembly and Installation Requirements Pre-assembled office desks often cost more upfront but save on labor. Flat-pack desks might be cheaper but could incur additional costs if professional installation is needed—especially for complex setups in large offices. --product-display-box2--   Final Thoughts When it comes to selecting the right office desk for your business, it can become a daunting task. The Best Ergonomic Office Chairs Video Review

Stretching your legs, rearranging your seat, arching your back, or resting your arms on the table are all ways we try to conform our bodies to sit in one spot for eight hours a day, five (or more) days a week. But no matter what we do, our bodies continue to tell us that sitting for that long without the proper support is not going to cut it. While information on beneficial exercises and stretches to do on your break, suggestions on how often you should get up and take a walk, and the benefits of a standing desk are well-touted, office chairs remain among the most elementary and essential pieces of office furniture. This means we owe ourselves and our health to seek the best ergonomic chair options for our workday. Therefore we've taken the time to test over 11 ergonomic office chairs with our local team and created a video to showcase the best features and flops of some of the ergonomic seating available at Madison Liquidators. --subscription-box-- How We Tested Our team purchased brand-new versions of the ergonomic office chairs listed below and prioritized a range of prices, features, and styles so that there would be a wide variety of options suited to individual tastes and preferences. We then asked participants to test each chair and fill out a comprehensive survey that used questions to determine what most look for in an office chair. The survey was divided into three main parts: usability of features, comfort for different areas of the body, and overall quality and value. These 14 questions each had a value between 1 (for unacceptable) and 5 (for excellent), allowing the data from the reviews to be quantifiable.   How to Use This Information It can be daunting to try and purchase a new office chair when you have thousands of options and hundreds of websites to choose from. Not only that, but a majority of people aren't sure what they even need, what most of the features are, and how they are useful. Plus, determining if the chair is comfortable enough to sit in for a long period of time, without trying it, is its own challenge. While each individual has their ergonomic seating preferences and some of the experiences of the testers can be subjective, let the reviews below speak to your wants and desires for your office space and help give you a foundation for ergonomic office chair basics so that you can make the best and most informed purchasing decision.     The Top Ergonomic Office Chairs for a Healthier Work Experience   #1. The black mesh and seat upholstery use contours to fit the body in the most comfortable position and are made using high-quality materials for durability. This was the second lowest-ranking chair on our list, as ease of use, comfort, and overall impression fell far short of what our team expected from an ergonomic office chair. Ergonomics is a scientific discipline that centers around the interaction between people and their workplaces to lessen the effect of workplace stresses. Ergonomic office chairs, therefore, are designed to support the human body and promote comfort, productivity, and overall well-being. A well-designed ergonomic chair is important as it can help prevent problems that arise from hours of constant sitting, reduce eye strain, and improve posture.   Benefits of Using an Ergonomic Office Chair Ergonomic chairs encompass a multitude of benefits, some of which include: Reducing the risk of back and neck pain Improving posture and reducing muscle fatigue Enhancing productivity and focus Boosting overall comfort and well-being Preventing long-term health problems --product-display-box2--   Key Features of an Ergonomic Office Chair When looking at descriptions of office chairs online, it's hard to know what the features are and why they are useful. Here's a breakdown of a few of the most common: Adjustable lumbar support is used to promote good posture through a mechanism that allows you to adjust the height, depth, or angle of a lumbar pad or cushion. This supports the back in the most important areas. Breathable mesh or fabric keeps office workers cool while also reducing sweat and the build-up of dirt and microbes that cause smells. Adjustable armrests are supportive to the wrists and arms in order to reduce strain on shoulders, arms, and neck by placing them in the correct position in alignment with the rest of the body. Seat depth adjustment allows the seat to move forward and back to adjust how much a user wants to sit upright in relation to the backrest. Height adjustments allow users to set the office chair to different heights to ensure that for taller individuals, legs have enough room, and for shorter people, feet can be comfortably planted on the ground. The 360-degree swivel helps the chair to turn in a circle so that maneuvering between different tasks is effortless and causes no strain to the back or neck. Headrests are used to support the neck and shoulders, placing them in positions that align with the rest of the body. Dual-wheel casters allow easy rolling across carpeted surfaces, making moving the chair and switching between tasks and stations simple. The seat tilt allows the seat cushion and angle to be adjusted while the tilt lock keeps the setting in place.   Choosing the Right Office Chair for Your Needs Here are some simple go-to tips for choosing the proper ergonomic office chair for your space: Consider your body type and size to ensure you get a chair that adjusts to your height, can hold your weight comfortably, or offers extra width. Think about your work style and regular tasks to ensure you choose a chair that not only has great quality and a great price but also will support the work you do regularly through its features. Because of the hours you will spend sitting and the years you will have the chair, look for adjustable features to customize the chair to your needs. Employ the power of the internet by reading reviews and trying out different chairs before making a purchase. Aesthetics is everything, so plan your office style and colors to ensure your new ergonomic chair complements your current office design.   Office Chair Price Points Knowing where your budget starts and should end is a good starting filter in your search for an ergonomic office chair. Here's a quick list of what every price point will get you. Budget-friendly options: $200-$500 Mid-range options: $500-$1000 High-end options: $1000-$2000 Luxury options: $2000+ This isn't set in stone, but instead is a good marker for the quality of chair you can hope to get for your perfect price point. That being said, money doesn't always equal a quality office chair. There were plenty of high-end options on our list with an average rating, while a few budget-friendly options were the favorites. Rather than thinking of a good chair in terms of price, think of it in terms of fulfilling your needs.   Office Chair Maintenance and Care If you purchase the best office chair, it won't last long without proper care, no matter how durable the materials. Regularly maintain ergonomic chairs by: Cleaning and dusting the chair weekly. This will reduce dirt, microbes, and smells, which helps maintain a clean environment. Avoid over-tightening or over-loosening screws and bolts. It may go without saying, but this can damage the chair and over time weaken its effectiveness. Consider replacing worn-out parts or cushions. Most ergonomic chairs come with manufacturer warranties, so take advantage of them! Parts like cushions or fabric, which can wear out easily from repeated use, can easily be replaced, saving you the added cost of doing it yourself or buying a new chair.   Conclusion Investing in a quality ergonomic office chair is an investment in your health and productivity. By understanding your specific needs, exploring various chair features, and considering your budget, you can find the perfect chair to transform your workspace. Use this list and our tested ergonomic office chairs to guide you to the features, comfort, and ease of use that you want in your own office chair. Remember that the ratings are the averages of the team, and for each chair, it suited some more than others, meaning your perfect chair may be the lowest rated on the list because of your own needs and personal preferences. Here are a few points to remember: Ergonomic office chairs are essential for a healthier work experience. Consider your needs and preferences when choosing a chair. Look for adjustable features, breathable materials, and durable construction. Invest in a high-quality chair for long-term comfort and productivity. Floortex Chair Mat for Hardwood Floor Starting Price- [price-73211] Floortex Office Chair Mat Shapes Three shapes that are available in different sizes make up the options of every type of office chair mat from Floortex. The shapes are rectangular, lipped, and contoured. Rectangular The standard shape that provides ample room for the office chair to move around the workstation. The rectangular office chair mat covers all the space that the office chair will move in front of the desk, ensuring a safe rolling zone for the chair while protecting the floor below. Rectangular may be the standard shape but it provides a large area for the worker to maneuver around the workstation Lipped A rectangular shape with an added extension designed to go under the desk. This small addition may seem like an insignificant change from a standard rectangular office chair mat, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The lip provides extra protection under the desk which is great for anyone who moves around their desk a lot such as someone who works at an L shaped desk that has two surfaces. Contoured A shape that is designed specifically to accommodate 90% of chair movement patterns. Contoured office chair mats are engineered from studying the patterns that office chairs typically roll. The contoured office chair mat provides a more streamlined surface area that is exceptionally valuable in office spaces that are limited in square footage. The contoured office chair mat is excellent for traditional workstations.   Floortex Office Chair Mats for the Home Office Floortex office chair mats are an essential addition to any home office, combining practicality, style, and comfort in one simple solution. These office chair mats protect flooring from the wear and tear caused by rolling office chairs, ensuring the floors remain in top condition. Whether it’s hardwood, tile, or carpet, Floortex office chair mats are designed to provide a sturdy, protective barrier that prevents scratches, scuffs, and indentations, keeping the home office looking pristine and professional. An investment into a Floortex office chair mat for the home office is by extension an investment in the home. They will protect the flooring of the home for the duration of their lifespan, eliminating the need for repairs within the home. Both carpet and hardwood will be protected from the abuse that an office chair would place on them. Floortex provides a protective layer to the home, ensuring home value retention. Personal Note I want to look at this from another point of view. When I first started working from home, I was using my office chair on my residential carpet. But over time, the strain of the carpet on the casters of my office chair created a weakness in the chair’s construction. One day, I went to push myself away from my desk and the chair broke under the seat dumping me into the floor. I was ok, but the chair was destroyed. I had one of the highest quality chairs available on the market today, but my home carpet caused it to malfunction. Management sent me a replacement chair with an office chair mat, and I have had zero issues since then. The office chair mat has provided a safe and sturdy surface for my office chair to roll on ever since. I do not recommend sitting in an office chair while it fails! --product-display-box2-- Final Thoughts Floortex products are rolling out now on the online marketplace. Not just floor mats but other great products from their lineup as well such as foot rests, dry erase boards, and surface protectors. All products that will benefit a business or home office.
