A Home Office on a Budget from the New Inventory Section Only!
New inventory comes in just about everyday to the online marketplace of Madison Liquidators. It has been a while since I have done a rundown of the new inventory available, so I will do it now under the premise of furnishing a home office on a budget only from the newest items to come to Madison Liquidators. First thing I want to do is a traditional desk and chair setup. Since this is a home office on a budget, I will not worry with too many accessories. Working on a budget of around a thousand, and I realize that may seem like a lot of money and trust me it is… but I am looking for professional grade office furniture that is built to last. Not some cheap retail version that I am going to have to replace in a couple years, or five if I’m lucky. So, let’s say we have set aside a thousand to fifteen hundred bucks to get us started in our new home office on a budget. Without further ado, here is the traditional setup. Home Office on a Budget- TraditionalI have selected a small desk shell and given you a choice of chairs- a vinyl managers chair and a mesh back computer chair. The choice is yours, but my thoughts are this… I like both chairs and have used both types in times past. For me, I am choosing the mesh back computer chair for two reasons. #1- They are exceptionally comfortable. #2- choosing this version allows you to bring a bold color into the home office. Both these office chairs are in the same price range and will be an excellent choice for your home office on a budget. As far as the small desk shell goes, the smallest size of the desk may sport an amazing price but for me, it’s not enough desk. I’m springing for as much desk as I can afford in the budget mix. Therefore, I am selecting the 71†x 36†and to optimize the desk, I am going to take the two drawer hanging pedestal as an add-on to ensure that my home office on a budget has adequate storage. Between these 3 purchases of the desk, the drawers, and either chair we are surprisingly under budget and if you’re like me, the max of the budget is a “worst case scenario†so coming in under budget is an exciting win for me! Always!!! Next, I want to look at amore eclectic option, one that’s “thinking outside the box.†But before we jump in, if you enjoy our content and would like to have it sent to your inbox, then sign up below. Home Office on a Budget- Fun with Office FurnitureSo here are three pieces I put together that fundamentally change how office work is performed. I bet when you first thought of doing a home office on a budget that you didn’t think a standing desk would be an option. Well here it is! From Office Star Products, this pneumatic standing desk has a height adjustment of 13†total. I also included a three drawer pedestal for desk storage. Now the one thing that probably caught your eye is the drafting stool in place of an office chair. The reason I did this is because a standing desk is a commitment to being more active throughout the work day. It would save a lot of your time to use this drafting stool instead of adjusting the desktop when you want to sit down. This effectively makes your home office on a budget setup a full time standing desk, which if you ask me, is a cool proposition! Adding the pedestal drawers does push the budget a little, so to save money maybe we can find a good used file cabinet locally or have some home furniture solution to save money. Either way, having a storage solution at the desk is a must, trust me! So there you have it. This has been two options from our new inventory for a home office on a budget. Like I said, office furniture is added daily so check out the new items page often to keep up with the latest arrivals.
