Completing a Game Room
Online gaming continues to grow in popularity with no signs of slowing down. We work hard and have learned how to play hard since childhood. Many of us began with consoles given to us as one of the best birthday or most memorable Christmas presents of our youth. Just thinking about it brings about a ton of nostalgic feelings for myself. It’s a great feeling to look back with wonder on those bygone days. Childhood introduced us to the strange new worlds of gaming. We grew up with side scrolling plumbers, speedy hedgehogs, knights, soldiers, ninjas, racecars, and the biggest sports stars of the day. We rescued princess, saved the world, and won the big game all from the comfort of our homes. We won races, and trophies, and bragging rights over neighborhood friends. It was with controller in hand that we formed bonds and friendships that have withstood the test of time. As we grew up, rumblings of stronger computer gaming systems caught our eye and sparked our imagination. Better graphics, faster loading times, more control than the handheld controllers that we began our gaming careers with. For many of us, computer gaming was the next logical step in our gaming careers. Suddenly an entire new level of gaming was at our fingertips. Especially when we joined the online gaming community. Online gaming took the games out of our neighborhoods and opened us up to the world. For me, playing with best friends from high school who were active military stationed around the world. It also opened the ability to meet people from around the world. To “squad up” together in all kinds of games. Today, my squad includes people from Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, and Scotland. That’s a testament to the ability of the medium, it really does bring the world together. An interesting issue arose for those of us who went the gaming computer route. Let me explain it like this. I have a friend who bragged about his new computer gaming system for weeks. Every time I saw him or played with him online, he told me that I needed to stop by his house and see his new set up. Finally, I found the time and met up with him. What I found surprised me. He brought me into his game room in his house, as he went over the ins and outs of his impressive setup, I was distracted by one glaring problem. This several thousand-dollar gaming system was setting on a used coffee table and had a beanbag chair sitting before it. I imagine that the look on my face was not what my friend was expecting. It seems that this situation is replicated in home game rooms all over the world. We spare no expense in the system but cut corners on the furniture. Can you imagine spending hours sitting on a beanbag chair in front of a coffee table? Just thinking about it makes my back hurt a little. Madison Liquidators has an expansive collection of gaming desks and gaming chairs that are perfect for gaming. It’s time for us gamers to take our entire game rooms to a new level. It’s time to be proud of the entire game room. To do that, a gaming desk is a necessary and needed part of the overall game room. A gaming desk will provide a sturdy and comfortable place to perform at our highest levels. A gaming desk provides monitor space, whether that’s one or two, or even six or eight monitors. It will provide a perfect space for speakers, the tower, and keyboard and mouse. Likewise, a gaming chair is mandatory for a comfortable gaming session. Hours upon hours spent in a chair designed for gaming will help keep the aches and pains at bay. Certainly better than a beanbag chair! A proper gaming chair is essential to keep from developing a nagging injury that comes with subpar sitting arrangements. A proper gaming chair will change the entire gaming situation with both comfortability and functionality. Overlooking gaming furniture has been a trend for as long as gaming has been around. It has proven to be a problem for far too long and needs to be addressed by all gamers. Not just for health reasons but for more practical matters as well. A coffee table and a beanbag chair just screams childhood or at best frat boy. It’s time to move beyond such things. We grew up gaming, now it’s time for our game rooms to grow up with us. chair, coffee table, computer gaming, gaming
