The Top 3 Budget Office Chairs for 2023 (All Tested!)
Everyday for at least 8 hours you go to work, sit down and don't get up again until it's time to leave. But have you ever given any thought to what you're sitting on? If you're like most people, the office furniture provided for you by your company is the office furniture you use. Or conversely, if you are the company, you probably purchased the office furniture you need based on price and volume. That means that you may not be getting the most comfortable, ergonomic, or quality office chair. This could be a problem. To spend most of our lives sitting, which takes a toll on the body, while also not paying any attention to what exactly it is we're sitting on may not be the best way forward. While we can espouse the multitude of benefits of having a sit/stand desk or adjustable height chair, the fact is that without revamping your whole office space too much, you can now get budget office furniture that is extremely comfortably, versatile and has all the bells and whistles. We've spent time testing (and using in our own spaces) plenty of office chairs and chose the top 3 based on price and features. As it turns out (which you may realize later) the top 3 choices all come from Beniia office furniture which produces products with the greatest impact and efficiency. #1 Comfy ConferencingWhat would your ideal meeting look like? Snacks? Meeting in your pajamas? No meeting at all? While, we can't help you bring any of those fantasies to life, we have tested a conference room chair that will make meetings at least a little bit easier to bear. The Quti conference room chair by Beniia makes it feel like you are sitting on a cloud. When you sit down, the chair has a gentle bounce and leaning back will make it seem as if you are floating. All romanticism aside this is a low-back, conference room chair with arms. If you're wondering how to clean an office chair, start with one that's easy to clean. The vinyl upholstery on the Quti makes it easy. Dual wheel casters allow this rolling office chair to glide easily. That may sound technical, but look around your office for single wheels or dual wheels. Try them both out and you'll notice a clear difference in how easy it is to roll from place to place. 360-degree swivel makes it simple as well to switch between tasks. Adjust the height and recline tension to really make this meeting room chair work for you. The one downside to this office chair is the fixed arms, but for under $400 to have a meeting on a cloud, I think it's an easy compromise. #2 The Smart Desk ChairHow long have you been sporting the generic office chair? You know, the one with the squarish type seat and round back rest that sort of looks like E.T.? Second question, how long has your back been hurting? If it doesn't yet, are you waiting until it starts before you think about ditching that standard black desk chair? We tested the perfect (features and price) of any office chair in our inventory, so consider this your wake-up call. The Smarti-El mesh office chair ticks all of the right boxes. Soft, comfy, cushiony - all essentially synonyms, but the comfort of this chair NEEDS to be emphasized. Low priced and (especially) retail chairs don't offer the level of adjustable features this chair has to offer. If you're at your desk all day, there will be times when you want to lean back. You can adjust how easy it is to recline so you don't feel like you're going to fall. The recline on this chair also locks into three positions if you want to kick your feet up. Ever felt like the seat of your chair was too close to the back, or the arms not give your waste line (no shame) enough room. Yep, you can adjust that too. And how about your back, how can you make an office chair more comfortable? One way is with adjustable lumbar support. This means you can adjust the chair to better support your back's natural curvature. The downside that I've found with this chair is that despite the dual wheels, it's still a little slow rolling over carpet. But this is can be easily remedied with a good chair mat. The Smarti-El mesh office chair is unmatched in terms of all of the features that you can conform to your perfect sitting style, the under $400 price tag and (did I mention?) comfortability. In my book, this budget office chair has no parallel. #3 The Executive Chair OptionOkay, this is another conference room chair (you caught me) but look at that sexy high-back and modern, hand polished, aluminum arms. A bit luxurious right? Despite being a conference chair, no matter in which office space you want to use it in, it's extremely popular. We tested, liked AND purchased multiples of these chairs for our personal conference room here at Madison Liquidators. Here's why. When you sit in this chair the Durosoft cushion perfectly conforms to your body leaving you with the coziest seat in the house. Add to that full reclining ability and lock in positioning and this chair is a winner. Style is what really helps this chair to stand out. The whole look has a bit of simple or minimalist aesthetic and design elements. The polished aluminum armrests may seem cold, yet they are actually topped with a thin padded cushion and add to the detailed care put into this chair. I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to use this as a desk chair but without the lumbar support of the Smarti-EL, this mostly reigns supreme in the affordable (under $500!) conference chair category. ConclusionChoosing the right office chair can be tricky, but not choosing is an even bigger risk. You don't have to stick with the chair you were given and prioritizing price over comfort when furnishing your office space should be a non-issue. You can have comfortable, stylish and fully-adjustable office desk chairs and conference room chairs that will give you and your employees everything you need in a seating solution.
